Word pandit means a caste in hindu, similarly there are Jatts in Sikhs. I would not have mind, if you replace Sardar in jokes with Jatts. Now you would say you are not Jatt, thats why you are saying that. For your kind information I am. There are so many jokes on Jatts and Jaats.
If some Sardars hear your jokes and laugh on it doesn't means you can put those jokes anywhere. And I haven't put sky on head, everybody has right to say what they like to take on themselves and what they can't.

casteism is very HINDU specfic. of late SIKH are getting trapped into the casteism. Our gurus try to get away from it. We should stop using surname based on caste. Best to use village name.
As for the jokes. Sikhs have to take them in stride. No way getting away from sterotyping as media ruling class people do not like us. Be it Tv channels, bollywood etc.

Fighting and bravery all may be good at old times. I hate the way bollywood dipict sikh either as warriors or as jokers. Now community should be shrewed and careful. Fighting for other people cause put lot of harms to sikhs with no benefit. I wish sikhs have a lawyer style leader like hindus have nehru and muslims have jinnah at right time. What sikhs have? A landload master tara singh , who failed the community. Now also , once badal is off the scane I wish a lawyer educated sikh should become our leader. Opportunity can come any time to catch , waters wars or Kashmir etc can erupt any time in next decade.
