Please assist to know if I should be in Canada a the time of my wifes landing. At the moment she is in Dubai on the job and her process in on.

I was in Canada from Jan09 due to recession I had tough time finding a job until June I managed to get a job and worked till september and I got laid off. meanwhile I got a work visa in Bahrain and now over here on the job.

I appointed a consultant and I applied for her in May and CIC oofice in Abudhabi received in september now her papers are in process. I beleive it will take 6 months.

I want to know whether I have to be in Canada, If so I have to plan to leave my job in Bahrain within 2 months and return back to Canada.

Please assist as If it is very crucial for me to be back in Canada.

please call cic call centre and keep your PR Card no. or landing papers ready, they will verify your DOB and address when you landed first time. they will help you in this matter.

plz no doing mistakes of leaving job in bahrain and goin to canadas. canada no good place. horrible, very bad!!
Plz asking senior desi's like gopal pai, TK, they giving very good advice on how to fooling system sand getting cdn pasports without living in canadas. They hepling me doing that. I living in dubai and getting cdn pasport after 3 yrs but living only 6 months in canada. Now i having cdn passport and livings like raja in dubai/baharain. Middle east best place in worlds.

If you are the sponsorer then, Your wife can land without you. The dependents cannot land without sponsorer. The rule is :

The sponsorer has to land first and family(dependents) can land later but before the visa date expires.

We landed as a family because my husband is the sponsorer. Biggest mistake I made was to make my husband sponsorer, since he had to leave his wonderful job and land for us since his organisation was not ready to sanctions his 2 months leave.

Please for God's sake, do not leave your jobs in gulf, since salary is tax free. Economy is really bad in America and North America. I promise you, you will be jobless till recession is over. which could be 6 months upto 2 years.

Can you foresee the OP'S future or are you a soothsayer?

It appears you don't watch the telly or read the papers - the recession in North America is almost over and the latest quarter showed a GDP growth of 3.5 %. By the way 650,000 jobs were created in the last quarter.

Perhaps, you need to change your prediction, eh?

Also there is no word in English called \"sponsorer\". The word is \"sponsor\" used both as a noun and verb........
