hello cd members
lets share views as to which restaurant do u frequently eat at and which
dish is recommended there ,will help us to know the good restaurants around.
for example in mississauga and brampton
kwality at steeles and torbram is good for their veg thali and non-veg
wongs at hwy 10 and eglington is good for indian chinese
madras udupi cafe is good for south indian food (burnamthorpe& elm drive)

Good restaurants experience
- Rajdhani - North of Albion on Islington - Good veg thali & don't miss the Chat papri
- Brar - South of Steeles on Dixie - Good for Veg Buffet & customer service
- Tandoori Flame - North of Steeles on Dixie - Good for Non veg Buffet
Bad restaurants experience
- Royal buffet - West of Torbram on Steeles - Cheap & tasteless
- Brar - North of Albion on Steeles - too much oily
- Madras Dosa - West of Islington on Albion - Tasteless & poor customer service

One more I personally like is Avani at Mavis & Matheson...try it if you like spicy North India food!

one good take out for indian pakistani style chicken biryani and chicken
gravy is karachi kitchen located at burnamthorpe and dixie
its take out only and very economical and good size for biryani two adults
and one kid we eat one biryani so its good.

Poor customer service - Isn't that the issue with most of the Indian restaurants?? They try to cut costs by limiting the number of waiters. Sometimes, even the manager/owner will do the duty of a waiter.
My grudge is
- Most of the restaurants serving North Indian foods seems to have a common source for gravy/recipe. You go anywhere, the food tastes the same.
- Most of them (Exception - Brar) focus towards non-vegetarian Canadian customers. As a result, very limited menu for vegetarians like me
- The common notion in Canada is that Indian food = Punjabi food. I would really like to see some variety in Indian cuisine - restaurants serving Gujarati /Rajasthani/Bengali/Maharashtrian food. Any leads???
