it seems like it should not affect your normal process. Find a timeline for Vancouver center adn just expect similar time lines. This is my guess from looking at your timelines right now, assuming you applied at the end of June.

Finally, my e-cas status changed to:

We received your application for Canadian citizenship (grant of citizenship) on July 21, 2008.

We sent you a letter acknowledging receipt of your application(s), and a study book called A Look at Canada on July 21, 2008. Please consider delays in mail delivery before contacting us.

We started processing your application on November 17, 2008.

To give an update to my process, I was send a letter dt 5 Nov, 2008 to appear for the oath and got the citizenship on the 14th Nov, 2008. For me the process has been just the normal procedure, I personally feel that if you do everything right you need not worry as I said touch wood but it took me just the regular time as I was following the blogs...

Can somebody residing in Mississauga help me? How long does it take from time of test to time of oath? I have citizenship test on Dec. 12; can I get oath before new year's?

Your file was transferred to the Mississauga CIC office on August 7, 2008. The Mississauga CIC office will contact you if additional information is required. The Mississauga CIC office will contact you regarding your citizenship test once all the necessary checks on your file are complete.


We sent you a notice on November 19, 2008 to 123 Random Street, Mississauga, Ontario, Canada, XXX XXX to appear and write the citizenship test on December 12, 2008 at 9:00 AM. The notice you will receive by mail will be your official confirmation of your appointment. If you have not received this notice prior to the date of your scheduled appointment, please contact us. If we have sent the letter to the wrong address, please contact us.

News is that no news from my side......

I haven't received any letter so far.

Application received by CIC on Aug 1st 2008.

I called Call Center on Friday and they advised me that it too early to expect anything.

I told them that when i called last time they told me that they sent me the letter, but i haven't received yet.

He advised me that he can resend me the letter as well as booklet, but it take 30 days. I said okay to re-send.

I asked him , what is status of My case and how many security checks were completed. He said, none of them completed and advised me that sydney office is very very busy now.

he also advised me that he don't see anything wrong in my case and this is normal and i have to wait.....

what can i do...... i will wait

Yesterday i received booklet for "A Look at Canada " which was ordered by call centre agent on friday.

I think my Acknowledgement letter was lost somewhere.

This is not good
