Renewal of Passport in India

Hi, I am traveling to India on 4th of April and staying for two months,My Indian Passport is expiring in September this year.Can I apply for re issue of my passport from India???

And do I have to mention my address in Canada? Because we have to mention how long we are living in the present Address.Since I am arriving on 6th of April do I have to mention 6th of April and I have to mention the previous address in Last one year which is Canadian obviously.Or can I just mention my address in India only???But still there are exit and entry stamps in the prersent passport which will be submitted in original..

It may be easier for you to renew it here - With police verification, you may run into tight timelines during the 2 month period in india

Your passport needs to have a min of 6 month validity. have it renewed here before you leave. mention the address you are staying.

Please allow me to ask something which is on same lines.
I have been adviced that if you have Visa stamps on your passport showing the amount of travelling you have done..it becomes easier to get Visas for certain countries like US. Does this hold any water?
