Yes it is mandatory to have the domain knowledge because without it you cannot cope up with the course itself. Kindly send in your detailed cv so that we can suggest you the suitable module.

SAP @ Rs 3 lacs ....... 5 weeks ........ thats steepest trainig cost I ve heard . 1 shd b really sure b4 investing that kind of money . How much value addition does the trainng @ Siemens do to get u a job in Canada .I know training is just a start off & its ur application which counts but SAP training is an expensive start . Does any1 know sm1 who s taken this training & landed @ Canada . ?? More inputs on SAP please ........ lets discuss this out as well .

Actually there is another company called Genovate which offers authorized SAP training in Mumbai. I can dig up the contact details if needed. Cost is about the same ie 2.5 lacs per module.

And finally SAP India offers training in Bangalore.

so there are 3 authorized SAP training providers but as Manasvi said its an expensive start.

There is one point to think...
Once you complete the training in SAP..you would ideally like to start some project soon..else you will lose the touch in SAP.
I dont think it is that easy to get hold of SAP CDs so that you can Install it and practise at home.(Like you can do for .net or Java)
Also SAP Installation will take a lot of Hardware resource (Read more like >2GB of memory for installation of all the components).Even if you install the sample database it will take a lot of resource. There are few companies in USA which train you in SAP and give you access to their Server for practice, but I doubt if there are any facility available like this in India. The down side in this approach here is the companies in USA are all highly unprofessional Desis Companies whose sole motive is to market you with as less expense as possible and hence the training is very Poor.

Just a few comments on SAP.

It takes 80 to 120 GB of hard disk space depending on the version to install SAP. I understand there are guys in Hyderabad who install SAP for a fee.

Most companies in Canada ask for at least one end to end implementation experience if not more. Getting end to end implementation is easier in India but you have to invest at least two years since most companies will first take you in a support role and then give you an end to end implementation.

Siemens and Genovate are the only SAP authorised centres in India and you can get SAP certification after the training. There are other unauthorised players in the market but one has to be careful. I know guys who have done SAP courses from these unauthorised centres and have landed jobs in accenture in India. The demand in India is so huge that IBM has put up a hoarding outside Bandra station for SAP walkins.

What are the prospects in Canada for a fresh Certified SAP Trained professional having no implementation experience as a Consultant ? Are training jobs available ??

Yes the infrastructure to self practice is infeasible unless its a joint effort .

1. you can get SAP IDES remote access at US 100 per month. Many people provide this in canada.

2. In my opinion , either you do Course from Authorised Centre like SAP Canada, SAP India or Siemens. There is no point going to unathorised insitute in India. We have lot of them in Canada who charge around 2000 CAD.

3. Getting a Certified consultuntat without any experience is possible now days due to high demand. As in a team 50% people has to be certified , chances are quite good. But, you will have to take help from these insitutes.

4. I know few persons where non IT persons got job after doing certification. But certification will help you a lt.

5. There may be somebody who loads SAP in your disk in Canada ( MIn. 80 GB ) if you do,nt want to spend 100 $ per month for practice.
