Hello my dear future Indian Americans

I would like to know what it the situation with getting a green card now. I guess it takes 2-3 months for PERM (LCA).
1. NExt what?
2.How long you need to stay with a company before you can move to another company ( before you get your GC. )
3. Is it still the same like waiting 4-5 years to get the GC.

Please advice, One of my friend is thinking of moving from UK to US. He is worried about staying with a company for 4-5 years for a GC.

Depends on 2 main factors

1) Country of Birth (If married also note country of spouse's birth)

2) If the job requires Masters degree or not ( Mind you its not if you have Masters but if job requires Masters or Bachelors with minimum 5 yrs experience).

Answer will depend on reply to these 2 questions.

One of my friends who had reached the US on H1 in 2000 from India , got his GC in June this year.
