you all need to apply and forget . go on with your lives as if you will live in India always. because the wait is allot and to depend on it is going to make your wait seem longer. we did the same . fortunately for us it used to be 2 years. we had applied in nov 2001 and got our PR in Nove 2004.
so dont put your lives in hold. u never know something great might happen in India and when you get your call you may not be interested anymore.
best nof luck
The hope is that in 2002-2003 the no of applications were very less due to the points having being incresed. So it should move quicker. also the CHc in India has outsourced visa applications, so hopefully the staff will have more time to process PR applications. does anyone know how many applications for Skilled PR are pending at india?? The total PR approved cases from India are 25000 in a year. so depending on the pending number one can calculate timeframe i think. 2004 application case letters say 33 months. so 3 years is minimum waiting i guess. hopefully they will speed up backlog.

preaching is what all are doing here.....all are matured and intelligent people here....with their brain fully intact and working ....THEY all knows what they are doing....so PLEASE STOP GIVING SERMONS TO US.....AND JUST STOP PREACHING...
Dear son-of-india,
U r being a little harsh here. All that Janmeja was doing is trying to give some support - imagine if he had said -"good for u guys - this waiting period is the best part in the whole process. U r really lucky to have such a long waiting period - ours was just 2 years. So enjoy it ! Put your life on hold and remain focused and maybe u just might make land here after a decade".
Agreed we all r a bit frustrated here with this never ending immigration process but there is no reason to be bitter ...
Dear Janmeja,
Since u have been in Canada for more than 2 years now, how is it going ? Has it been as difficult as some of the posts mention or was the transition smooth ? It wud be nice if u cud share yr story.
Thanks
