Recently CHC has dispatched mass mailers dated between 1st to 10th of December 2003 generally to the applicants whose cases were filed during 2000 and 2001. The mailers clearly pass on the message that the applicants who clear IELTS with 7 bands will be granted Interview Waivers. The mailer also asks the applicants to submit new IMM0008 Forms.
CHC has broadly catagorised the thousands of applicants in two catagories. Those who are asked to submit their IELTS result alongwith new forms within 3 months (i.e. by March 2004) and those asked to do the same within 6 months (i.e. by June 2004).
I would request the members of the forum to throw some light on the signofocane of the mass mailer. What exactly the CHC, New Delhi trying to convey?
Are they saying that all the persons who score 7 bands in all the four components of IELTS will be granted interview waiver. But then what about the instances where the applicants are called for personal interviews after issuing waivers to them and sometimes after receiving their medical reports? I have 8 bands in two components, 7.5 in one and 7 in the fourth. Do I become entitled for an interview waiver? CHC, New Delhi has put me in the second catagory of applicants and I am asked to submit the documents within 6 months. Though, I have already sent the IELTS result card as well as the new forms. Will CHC still wait for 6 more months to take a decision or I may expect something soon?

Hi
Our application was filed on Oct 31, 2000. We too recd this computer generated letter dated 6th Dec asking to submit IELTS plus the forms. IELTS report is already submitted by us and we are yet to submit the forms. We have been asked to submit the infn within 6 months.
They have committed to reply within 3 months once they get infn from us ( frankly speaking, we don't take their commitments seriously anymore ).
It is truely difficult to plan anything based on their commitments. Also everytime I log to this site, it becomes more and more difficult to prepare mentally to leave India and the comfortable career and life here!.
Let us see what happens in future. When was yr application filed? and how did you come to know that there are 2 categories of letters, asking infn within 3 months / 6 months?

Dear Anujark
My application was filed during the mid of 2001. Well a friend of mine has also got the similar mailer but he has been asked to comply with the requirements within 3 months. Plus I am aware of lot of other people who have got such letters with different time schedules - i.e. either 3 months or 6 months.
I guess the reason why you feel de-moralised every time you visit this site is that lot of people have posted their bad experiences on this site. We have more bad or harsh experiences than the good ones. It does not mean that people generally have bad experiences in Canada. It is just that we have more of those on this site. Otherwise, go to the articles section and you will find lot of encouraging letters. I dont know why senior desis feel that they are preparing the aspiring immigrants in a better way by sharing their bad-only experiences through this site. I am sure the aspiring immigrants would rather prefer to to be advised on issues which I am sures senior desis can out of their experience very well provide. Say for example telling a CA or a B.Com. graduate not to even think of coming to Canada by not desirable. We all have dreams. They also had similar dreams. Instead the same CA or B.Com. graduate cuold be advised by some senior desi as to what all efforts the junior fellow might put in to improve his profile and make himself more suitable for canadian job market. The advise may include suggesting some short term course to prepare the junior or suggesting the names of good and reputed placement agencies and so on.
Hope, our seniors will take notice.

Hi Indian,
What I feel from the information CHC delhi have displayed in there web site on processing times. They will dedicatedly review /take decision for the 2000/2001 cases till march 2004. But from April 2004, there another team will start doing first review of the cases starting from Jan 2002. As evident from the 28 months first review thing. Now most of the cases in 2002 were strong as passing marks standard was high. I guess most of people in 2002 must have get 7 & above band. I too get 7.5 band overall .(march 2002 case). These people should get interview waiver. Let see what happens.

Hello Indian
I am new member on this forum , April 2002 CHC Delhi applicant.
I understand CHC Delhi gives two priorities to skilled applicants.
Those with [IG1] at the end of file number have higher priority than those with [IG2] .
Can it be confirmed from those applicants (known to you) what post fix they have in the file number and if agrees with 3 month vs 6 month period given for response.
Thanks
