Hi Vijeshjain,

As I understand the IELTS maybe good for limited period, but as you have already used the certificate to apply, it remains good for English Language points.

You will not have to give it again for this purpose.

Main idea is to verify your English skills using a third party testing service so that there is no confusion whether you know English or not, and what is level of expertise. (7.5 is OK for getting 16 points. )

here r my details. applied in 2004 june. file no in september 2004. obviously No info after that. on mailing embassy 2 months back got relpy saying that i shud expect decision in apprx 4 years time. guess thats a very long time. my file no letter too says 33 months so one shud not ecpect any miracle before 3 years. its just that canada embassy has openned(outsourced) some 9 vfs centres across the country in India, so the pressure on embassy staff has reduced considerably so maybe with reduced workload, the processing will speed up....we can only hope that happens!!

As for being a labourer, i think whosoever have applied, know that a rosy world doesn't await them. We have to fight for our place and may the best one win!

Its been more than a year since we applied. Any further developments ! ! Is there a way to find out which year is currently being processed at CHC.....the wait is just killing. My consultant is saying that without interview its taking 2-2.5 yrs these days. God knows if that's true or not. Have u come across anybody from 2003 who has made some progress on his application ?
