If I were you I would not change names in the middle of a process.

If not applied for immigration , get it changed in the Indian Passport.

If already applied for immigration , migrate and then work towards citizenship .. Once that done and Passport received , you can get it changed in Canada later.

No complications because of this even if you leave it unchanged.
