I heard there are some desi vans playing between Montreal and Toronto for $25 per person. Find out on Kijiji.

If you are TO downtown and wish to go Montreal downtown, I found that via rail service is quite cheap and comfortable. May not be as cheap as sharing the ride for $25~$30, but at least much safer and comfortable.

Check the availability, there is a train almost every hour leaving Union station.

Check in kijiji under ride share as well as on RFD ... There are people who have to commute and can take on paying co passengers..

Dear CDs thank you for the tips. I went by via rail by booking just 3 days in advance. But if I plan properly in advance I can get cheap tickets.

I don't drive nor do I intend to in the near future.

I was advised by family not to trust ride share.

BANG ON - don't trust rideshare nor go with private Van - there was incident couple of years ago private Van driving from Toronto to Montreal - got in accident 5 people died -

now accident happens everywhere but problem was - insurance has given very tough time to family members who lost their life - i know family personally

Private Van's are illegal operation - you will get into big mess if something goes wrong
