When I enrolled at CD there were less than 150 members, now with 6000+ members are we ready to do live chatting? Of course the topics must be geared towards helping folks who are thinking of coming here or tips to new immigrants who are trying to settle down.

I completely agree with oyu . Some time back even i suggested the same thing , but Chadresh and Biomed made a very good point... in live chatting the contents are lost ...this way all that is discussed stays on the threads and other people can make use of it later.
It makes perfect sense. So now even i dont think a chat room should be there. One can however give out yahoo or MSN id's to other members who want to chat.

Also , DIA in some of my previous posts i was very aggressive on my counter arguments with you. Hope you will not take it to heart. I was in a debate mode and did not mean anything personal. If my comments caused any hurt. I truly apologize.

Excellent point - in live chat points are lost (just like a phone conversation) whereas posts can stay there for later viewing and reference.

You are a very senior member of this forum and we all respect your suggestions and comments from time to time. I would, however, like to request you to please lead with example and always start a new thread at its right place. Like this thread has been started in Moving to Canada soon sub- section of General section instead of general chat. I hope you would not mind it.
