Thank you for the info.
According to me, going after these deals can be an experience and may save some bucks which is possible in other days too ........ but overall it is not worth waiting in the lines and overcrowding.

Money cannot buy the pleasure of saving .... is the mantra for a lot of people who go on to prove that Boxing Day retains the maximum shoppers for any day .

Some of the deals you get here are rare to come by on ordinary days ... Like I saw a 40" HDTV for $10/- .... Or a 55" 120 Hz LED for $400/- ( gone in first 5 minutes) or a Toshiba 50" 120 Hz TV for $500/-

Or a 32GB Micro SD card for $13/- ... so on and so forth ...There s a reason for the frenzied shopping on Boxing day .... though I agree it may not appeal to some ...

I had a good time .... took at least 4-6 hours in checking the BD Flyers , then spent the whole day shopping .... And saved $300 - $400 .... Not to mention the thrill factor of saving money .

Don't know if this is true but I heard that items on sale during holiday season are allegedly of lower quality than during regular season.

Products that are not bad enough to remove from assembly/stock but not as good as the average item.

I guess one can't generalise for all items on sale but there seems to be an element of luck in picking up the right quality product.

There s no element of luck .Warranty & return policies are standard .

Some are special purchases - implying that they are specially for Boxing Day ... not sub standard items ...Others are regular items ....

If there s , there s an element of making pre analysis of what is on a real deal where and then catching it early on ...

Retailers look for occasions to boost their sales - labor day , black Friday and for Canada , biggest is boxing day !!!
