Thanks to all who voted for Conservative majority.

I am scared being a visible minority.

Canada may go Australian or other European country's way. Life of New Canadians may become worst in Canadian history.

I am keeping my fingers crossed.

nothing scary about this....best possible outcome given the circumstances.
this fear mongering about the conservatives is just typical left propaganda.
it plays to the fear of immigrants.

Nonsense, a minority government kept Harper in check. Keeps politicians on their toes and prevents them from doing whatever they want out of fear of an election. You can expect the following things as a result, many of them to be passed very soon.

1) Canadian DMCA. New laws may even force ISPs to reveal their customers' identities to RIAA/CRIA/MPAA.
2) Goodbye any hope of net neutrality! No CRTC reform, for sure. Harper loves his Bell and Rogers ex-VPs that sit on the CRTC. Canada will continue to have the most expensive and poorest phone/internet infrastructure in the developed world.
3) More people going to jail for marijuana, wasting taxpayer money
4) Immigration cutbacks. Have to make sure no more dirty desis clog up hospital waiting rooms!
5) Private prisons, along with needless laws that will increase the number of people going to jail. Prison as a place for rehabilitation instead of punishment? Oh you can forget about that. That's not the conservative way!

Very disappointed in Canada today.

In the past several weeks of election run-up, pro-Islamists and their backers have run a relentless campaign against Mr. Harper and the conservatory party.

Most notably being, Mr. Haroon Siddiqui(the non-violent version of Osama-bin-laden) and the Toronto star. In their desperation, they have openly declared ABT (anyone-but-Tories) agenda.

Why is it perfectly normal when the Islamic brotherhood forms a party for the first time ever in Egypt and there is jubilation in 'parts' of Toronto?

For the rest of us 'non-Islamic' faith groups, Tories bring the security and peace of mind for us and our families. We are safe in the knowledge that if there is an Al-Qaida inspired attack on Toronto, there will be a swift retribution from the Govt of Canada.

Canada will not become North American version of Pakistan. …at least for 4 more years.

Cheers,

Seenappa.

I agree with a fellow member's reply that this is the best thing in current situation. Canada barely recovered from recession and we need a stable government for the next few years to promote growth and job creation within canada.

Please stop thinking like you are a "Desi" or a special group within Canada. Think that you are as Canadian as any other and contribute to the country
