It seems that no career goal set even after did your graduation. DBA is a critical job unless you have programming experience. You cannot find DBA job just after doing some course.

Why don’t you try in your own field? If you are in chemistry the do some lab analytical course, if physics then do some x-ray technician. If you are interested then plumber, electrician are also in good demand.

If you don't have IT background you cannot get any spcialities by bypassing some basic things. Also you will not know if you can work IT without having any background. First try to get some background on concepts of IT and then decide what is best for you.

it depends on what age you are and your priorities... if you are smart in IT, you can always rule..... but remember there is always lot competition.... think second time also...

OP ,

For one , I could not understand why you have asked for training centers in India when you are in Canada .... ?

For two if you are a fresh B Sc graduate then perhaps age is by your side ... start learning IT skills and gather the knowledge .... Unix is something you will have to learn and Oracle as well ........ once you are knowledgeable in that you must certify from Oracle and Sun ... etc ......... This will act as credentials and may help you in getting your first job after which it will be your experience .. look upon yourself 4-5 years hence ...

Oracle wants that the candidate should have taken at least one course at an ATC to grant the OCP certification ......... it costs $4K here whereas just $1K max in India .

ANy idea about the market for IBM AS/400 Administration/Operations ??

I have abt 8 years exp in AS/400 .
