It's never about how hot a field is, it's about what stimulates your interest and what would you want to do for 40 hours in a week.

If you want to be in IT, you need to figure out if you want to be a DBA, a programmer or other technical stuff like server support or getting in a more specific environment like Hyperion, SAP, Peoplesoft, Oracle, Crystal Reports.. the list is endless.

Figure out where you want to be in five or ten years from now and then decide what would take you there and work towards it.

Database skills .
Oracle / SQL Star / STG and a lot of others .. Google ...... Wilshire @ Hyderabad is cheap and v good..
