Position Overview:



The Logistics Coordinator is responsible for managing shipments and liaise with external suppliers.



Key Responsibilities:



· Manage shipments of study materials, Newsletters and various other communications to investigators, Clinical Research Associates, Clinical Research Organizations and Cooperative Groups in a timely and accurate manner

· Work with Clinical staff to prepare for shipments of Investigator binders, CRF’s etc.

· Manage inventory of printing materials to maintain a minimum quantity on site and an adequate quantity off-site.

· Liaise with Printers to have study materials printed or reprinted, as necessary

· Liaise with Courier companies regarding shipping

· Keep track of all study materials for Clinical Operations an keep them advised as to the amounts available.

· Track shipments to sites as requested

· Ensure postage meter has adequate funds for regular office mailings as well as upcoming distributions.

· Other requested duties as required



Education and Training:



· Formal education required:

· High School diploma

· A strong background in Microsoft Office including Word, and Excel is required.

· Other required courses: preferably some knowledge in Clinical Research



Experience:



One year of experience as administration assistant



Skills



· Excellent English written and verbal communications skills

· Ability to coordinate multiple projects simultaneously

· Strong organizational and problem solving skills

· Ability to work in a multi-cultural environment and rapid growing and evolving academic group

· An ability to communicate in French would be an asset.





This position is located in Edmonton, Alberta.

The position is part time based on .8 FTE.
