am not sure of the procedure about enrolling in elementary school in Canada. Suppose there are a couple of schools near your house , can you pick any one or is there a specific one that you need to enrol in. Heard that they are specific about kids from other areas not enrolling in certain areas. any info will be helpful.

There must be a specific school for your area. If you have 2 schools in the area thn I would suggest you to visit any school and they will let you know the school your area belongs to.

A school is assigned to each area. You can not pick and choose. Some time north side of a street is assigned to a different school then the south side. (Which is case in my area). You have choice between Catholic or Public school if you are catholic.

You dont have to be Catholic to get admission in Catholic School. I know few Non-Catholics who got admission to Catholic School including my son.

You can call peel board and they will let u know which school it will be.
