Mixed reports , cnn reporting militant Muslim organization Lakshare Taiba may be involved and indian news reporting deccan mujahideen claiming responsiblity.Which ever group it is , its a cowardly act.
Wonder what they have achieved by killing, taking hostage innocent people.
India will emerge out of this terrorist act stronger and these kind of cowardly act is not going to stop india's economic growth.
hope all is over soon with minimum Casualty

Let's hope that the deaths of police officers like Hemant Karkare and Vijay Salaskar are not just another lives lost in terrorist attacks.

for those familiar with that area.
The petrol pump on Colaba Causeway by 1st pasta lane and not far away from Kailas Parbat chaat house has been 'udaoed'- blown to kingdom come.
And they have taken five families hostage in Nariman House near the petrol pump. And guess what community Nariman House is home to?
Jews! all 5 families are of the Jewish community!
At Trident/Hilton/Oberoi terrorists have taken hostages on 19th floor.
My cousin and daughter are on 29th. All doors are locked and cops have secured that floor- but no telling what's to happen.
Phone lines are working at Oberoi.
Like too maha!
Think our Indian commandos will pull an Entebbe?

i am sure manmohan singh will issue a statement that the attacks on the taj hotel and the oberoi hotel etc. in mumbai are not terrorist episodes, since only hindus are terrorists. the culprits here are likely mohammedans, so they are not terrorists. manmohan may well have a sleepless night since rediff called these people terrorists.

i also thought it was particularly ironic that hemant kurkure of the ATS, who has been leading the charge against sadhvi prajna, was killed by these not-terrorists. i am sure NDTV and CNN will now say that RSS-VHP-Bajrang Dal are behind the attack. while i am sorry to see a policeman killed, this, i fear, sounds like divine, poetic justice.
