And what's this fascination with employing PAK singers and even awards??? Rahat Fateh Ali Khan was not enough, MNIK employs one more - Shafqat Amanat Ali.

Sorry, I always avoid being a part of any political discussions but RFAkhan and Shafqat are way too talented....if possible hear his "Mora Saiyaan mose bole na" and "Khedayaan de naal" ....pure classical maestro and he's very young to be blessed with such voice.

I am not questioning their talent. Definitely young n talented. To enjoy their talent, they dont need to be employed in India. Let their talent flourish in PAK land. I'll be happy to download n pirate their stuff.
Their employment in India is Political and of National Interest. They bring Legal IND Rupees to PAK. How can everyone turn blind eye to that fact? When employing PAK cricketers in IPL is not considered good - how can it be good for other industries?
Government of IND has been shouting n screaming for ages that ISI is responsible n has been sponsoring terror. ISI is a government body n by employing PAK citizens, bollywood is funding terror operations.
I am not saying all PAK popullation is bad. But got to draw Line somewhere. Its been more than 60 years - its no point in having dotted lines. Look at international border, more than half of J&K is along dotted line.
Who wants war - I am not advocating war ... but there are ways to hurt them. We don't depend on them. If one day world figures that PAK land has vanished n it does not exist anymore then I am sure IND will be the most happy nation.

Agree.can't bear it any more these ISI sponsored attacks and still entertaining these guys to play a role in movies and games and so on

I totally agree with Maharaj's point on this view. However, I had raised the same question in a music-related group during November attacks, and the music lovers seem to forgive the Pakistani artists.
The die-hard fans of singers from Noor Jehan to Ghulam Ali to Mahendi Hasan to NFAK to RFAK tend to emphasise on an artist's talent rather than his/her nationality.
And with this new stunt called "Aman Ki Asha" raise by TOI, I doubt we will see ban on Pakistani artists in even distant future.
However, I strongly believe that the traffic should be 2-way. If Pakistani artists are allowed to perform in India, than Indian artists should be allowed to perform in Pakistan.
I don't remember in last 50-60 years, any Indian artist visited Pakistan for his Concert or Performance
So yes, if Indian artist is not allowed in Pak so why Pakistani artist given that privilage
Are they so special ?
Also Indian Music or Film industry are not short of artist. India has enough talent
But I know there are quite a few people like Mahesh Bhatt, Shabana Azmi kind of people who always show support to Pakistan even when India is burning with so many attacks, bomb blast etc etc..
You guys don't have anything except bashing Pakistan and Muslims, yet the muslims have ruled India for over a thousand years, the problem is that in today’s world of computers and keyboards all you have to do is sit in the comfort of homes and blab all humbug, every ass has a voice, back in those days there were no computers and hence no loose talk....
