Exactly one month after the Mumbai attacks, Israel showed the world what must be done and what India had failed to do. Unfortunately, India not only does not follow Israel, we also condemned Israeli areal bombings on Gaza. We cannot understand what else must be done to people who fire rockets into residential areas on the Israeli side. Even as the Mumbai attack was unfolding the common man feels "On No Not Again" not only against the attack, but also against the definite Indian Non-Action. We tie ourselves hand and foot with phrases like "building people to people, cultural and sports contact, build forces of democracy on the other side of the border, strengthen their civil society etc. etc. This time our senior citizens have come up with the new phrase "Mobilise International Opinion". Does Israel care a damn about international opinion, or China when it did the Tinnamen Square? For all the joker that George Bush is being portrayed for, he must be congratulated when he lays down his office. For after 9/11, he ensured that not a terrorist crow with beard but without mushtache flew past the high rise buildings of the USA with evil intentions. He bombed targets continents away to ensure his citizens safety. He did not wait for international opinion. That is what ultimately matters for the person who wants to lead his country and occupy the top position.

Israel unlike India is a tiny country and they can't afford to BS around their people as they know if they did that they will not exist. As such every couple of years they cleanse their neighbourhood of some of the exremists.

They control most of the North American big businesses and hence influence the political parties to support their cause. That is why you see every political party despite opposing war when in opposition, end up supporting Israel when they are in power.

But in India's case, when BJP is in opposition, they support the Israeli cause and oppose it when they come to power as they dont want to be seen as anti-islamic. This applies to Congress as well.

They are still applying diplomatic pressure on Pak to turn in the jihadists, but it will not work as there is no genuine push for justice. They just want to show they are concerned. But their more important concern when doing so is also to not hurt the Muslim sentiments at any and what ever cost as it is their united vote bank that keeps them in power and not the devided, caste based, region based, language based bits and peices of Hindu votes.

Getting a united Muslim vote by just sympathising with terrorists, their supporters and their cause vs getting to unite the Hindu's to forget about their regional, caste based and language based issues and vote in unision to fight terror & become a stronger nation. Which of the two options is easier to get away with is what most of Indian leaders are choosing.

Read this article by Swapan Das Gupta. Thing are not going to change. We need the world to support us, but are we really ready to take the lead even if we are supported? The issue is not about Pak anymore as the proof is there, but its about India as the big question is what she will do with Pak as there will be more such terror incidents. As I write this, and am sure all of us know that Indian security forces are already fighting a few JEM jihadists in J&K for the past 3 days. Please read this article.

George Bush, did he not say, those who are not with us are against us. How many Sandeep Unnikrishnans should sacrifice their lives. Was he not precious to his parents? It seems we are practising only "one for all". We should also practice "all for one ". Even if one of us had lay down his or her life unnecessarily, if we are going to fall on them like a pack of wolves, definitely such attacks would never happen again. May be we will lose a few more precious lives. But the enemy would have learnt his lesson and would never dare to make another terrorist attack.
