Hello,

I have recently sponsored my spouse from India. She has completed her Business Administration degree in india. Now when she comes here, what are some of the programs she can study? Originally her plan was to get her MBA in india. But I know the requirements are completely different in Canada.

Anyone else in a similar situation? What did you study? Is it possible to find a job with an india Business Administration degree? Are there any courses you recommend to upgrade the degree in Canada?

Any help would be appreciated!

thanks
Samir

Further to my post above, my wife has a Bachelor of business administration(BBA) degree (3 year degree). No one has any suggestions?

Hello Samir,
Yes GO for it. One might know all of the 'Indian stocks' and the market there. But when you move over to a new location, you will have to re educate yourself allover again. That is a tough job and to grasp all of the happenings in this continent and get to know all of the details all at once is a tall order. There may be 20000 stocks there but only two hundred will stand out. There may be a hundred incidents that one might need to learn and remember the facts and figures associated with them. You may also want to know the hundreds of swings the markets went through and a few of the calamitous black and blue mondays that everyone wants to forget but will have to relive once again when they read them a second time. These are the salient points that one will study and about the Canadian Establishment too, just to scratch the surface.
My suggestion is to get the 'CSC" course first and get your nose through the door as there is a demand for those who have these papers. You can do it from home or in person. The cost will be under a thousand.
While you are working and making a few good bucks, take the courses, a bit at a time to bring yourself to the admission requirements for a one year intensive training at any of the Universities that will give an MBA degree.
There are other methods of accomplishing the same end. Some one may give you their experience, or another means of accomplishing the same goal.
Please contact a few of the MBA institutions and ask for their prospectus. IVY is the first one that comes to my mind.
Good Luck. Hope this helps.

Freddie.
