And who is the biggest joker of all. CD members can judge for themselves.

If you are so concerned about the thread going on a tangent why bother posting?

Iceberg,

Being one of the CD members who posted earlier on this thread, I want to comment. Being negative..wanting to blame and complain rather than find solutions is being a 'loser'. I dont think crenshaw's responses reflected that he believes he is better than anyone else - if I understand correctly he has also migrated here like the rest of you, and has chosen to find his path to his goal.

Professional associations cannot guarantee anyone employment, including Canadian born/educated professionals. They can give you guidelines requirement information and tell you what their assessment of the current market is. It is prudent that if one has education they do their own research rather than rely on 'consultants' to know what is good for them. IF they have naively paid a consultant and trusted them..oh well. thats life. Learn from it and move on..right?

Ash20: while I do sympathize with your situation very much (not being able to find work in your field), I think if you take a look through past threads, what you have written here isnt new - CD's as well as others are aware of the biases and difficulties new immigrant professionals face in Canada. Its important to not let yourself be dragged down by negative feelings. Look for other ways - re-invent yourself if you must.

MR,

I have stopped taking part in discussions which lead no where except each one states his point of view and holds it. I do not even want to comment on crenshaw's posts. Nor have I commented in my earlier post. My comment was on the fact that he considers all other who reply to him as jokers while he himself sits like a moron replying to each and every post.

I am being negative? No way. I may be critical.

I have not gone thru all the replies but it seems to be another long discussion on finding a job in Canada with racism at its maximum. Just try to analyse maximum of CD members complaining of not finding job in respective fields are from GTA. Try to move out. Canada is much bigger than GTA. Believe it, there are lot of companies expanding in other regions of Canada because support from provinsional goverment in other province is at a rise. Winnipeg is getting Torpharm, Bayer and expansion at Biovel. Anyone of you interested in Pharma can contact them indivdually. CD members who inhabit other parts of Canada can provide information for there province.
In winnipeg a large population of Desi's reside who are well settled here.

BTW if anyone of you aware of expansion (automotive manufaturing) in Ontario "GTA" please PM me ;)

MR,

I don't need any sympathy and I am working in my field as an engineer. But I see many-many immigrants facing the problem and there is no harm in telling potential immigrants about the situation (even if have to tell 100 times, as there are many people (consultants, CD's, etc.) who try to give so rosy picture).

I don't think that if I am working in my field, then all others who are not working in their field are not good enough........(what Crenshaw is suggesting by his/her posts)
