Finally we are going some where in this thread. I also see why your posts are sensored!! Wow, let me catch my breath. By the by, let us take care of some simple details - my posting is in the name of Tella Pilli NOT Telli Pilli.

Simply put your point is India that is Bharat that is Arya Varta has been a nation much before Pandit Nehru. I agree. You mention Vikramaditya. I wonder if you are aware of Yudhishtira and Yudhishtira Saka. Emperor Yudhishtira established a Saka according to which we are in year 5104. We will be in Yudhishtira Saka 5105 in exactly 14 days.

People in India have been travelling by foot and other means for ages all over the country for pilgrimages and other purposes. Local eating habits, languages, etc., have evolved and differed because of various local conditions. But the people, the core values, beliefs, traditions, spirituality remained the same.

I don't believe in the subverting theories of Aryan invasions and all that. Jonas, Wilson, Max Muller and others have done much damage. That's an entirely different story. I don't want to go into quoting this expert or that expert.

Now coming to the point, for about a thousand years India was mauraded, pillaged, converted and much fragmentation (s**t) happened. In the past century there has been some semblance of coming together again. I think we are talking in this context.

Extending this further, what was Pandit Nehru's contribution? What was his vision? Was there one at all or was it all a fraud? I know this is a vast topic and it is very easy to get sentimental and emotional. I also know that one liners and snippets do not really provide an insight. However, 10000 (ten thousand) word ramblings will NOT be read by many. I think all appreciate brevity. Oh, by the by, Pandit in Pandit Nehru is not his surname. Nehru was his surname, Jawaharlal was his first name and Pandit probably was like "Mr.". So you are not in any danger..
