With most people, it so happens that if one is beneficiary(Like you are Mr. Lucky guy), they start defending the system as you are doing now.
and With others its the sour grapes?![]()
You gotto hand it to the guy though...inspite of all the 'injustices' of the 'banana' republic system, he seems to be thriving. Must be better than you at what he does? I'm just asking...not drawing any conclussions.![]()

Hi Crenshaw,
Your all posts smacks of arrogance. I just do not believe that you "planned" and wrote CPA before leaving the country. Of course there is no way to verify your claim and now try to prove you are snarter than others. I know at least 50 CAs from India out of which only two have reciprocity and both got visa while serving in Gulf. May be you are one of them! Who knows?

Hi Nightmare,
Believe it or not; Yes, Crenshaw did exactly what he says he did.
How do i know? I know because i have known him for a very long time, way back while in India.
Hopefully, you wont say that this is an alias![]()

Hi Soberflier
My point is that I do not believe that Crenshaw was smart enough that he first planned immigration and then did his CPA because HE KNEW that the License , permit quota that exists in this worse-than-banana republic would neither recognize nor permit an immigrant to pursue CA degree.
He accuses other immigrants are nor smart enough to do due diligence. Can any one imagine that a so called developed country like Canada would have such a barrier? As I stated before and would reiterate that most people do their diligence. For example , look at any “Reputed” job site like Monster or employment column of any national news paper and you would find numerous postings entry level/ intermediate level public accounting positions. With 15 years of experience, who would imagine that no jobs would be offered in Canada? I applied in 1997 and since I had no relations in Canada, I could not get appropriate feed back. CD site was also not launched then. These days, I always ask the prospective immigrants to browse this site and seek clarification/information by posing questions.
I reiterate that Crenshaw was not smart but is certainly lucky.

I'll reiterate that as a fact later on. It seems like fun to do.

It's easy to say that to do 'due diligence' before coming to Canada. If you are an engineer (there are thousands here in Canada as taxi driver, labor, etc.) and if want to get PEO (Professional Engg) license, you have to pass some courses (there are exceptions here) and need to have one year canadian experience (but no exceptions for canadian experience). This is written on concerned websites, how can a potential immigrant know that even if he/she pass exams, he cannot get the required one year experience in his field to get the PEO license.
Crenshaw, can you please explain? (Many of these people don't know anybody here in Canada).
I believe same probably will be the case with CGA/CA (even though I am not in this field), same is with doctors, etc.
Why don't you people accept that Canada (By the way Canada is a great country to live & I am not against Canada) needs taxi driver, labor, hair dresser, etc. and don't need atleast so many professionals.
