I was shocked to see that India actually made 243 after we lost 3 wickets for 10 runs or so. Full points to Yuvraj, he's the only guy in there right now who's upto it.

At this point, I don't see any harm in reverting back to the winning 20/20 team. Tendulkar and Dravid are not cutting it. Utthapa and Rohit Sharma may have to go as well. Time for some more experimentation and boldness that won India the 20/20.

FYI, Rohit Sharma was not picked for the ODI series against Australia and is not on the team, since this team was picked before the Twenty-Twenty WC.

Yes full points to Yuvi. Actually I had enough at 4am after Dravid's Wicket. So don't exactly know how they made runs. But they both were strugling to find the ball initially. Its very difficult to see Sachin strugling like this.

You don't need both Tendulkar & Dravid together. One can rest while other is playing.

For Uthappa & Rohit Sharma - You cann't drop players just like that. Building a winning combination is a long process. Uthappa had two & Rohit had one bad outing. That's harsh.

Rohit Sharma is good prospect. Along with good tight batting he is good option as a 6th/7th bowler.
Uthappa eventually will either go or realise that he needs to tighten his game a bit. Uthappa is getting more & more like Sehwag in shot selection. Sehwag actually had his Off Breaks to bowl.

I didnt see Bangalore match but Kochi & Hyderabad grounds were so small that even mishits were going for 6 (Unfortunately they pulled the Ropes back when it was turn of Indians). So may be selectors are saving Piyush Chawla from Bashing.

Kartik at 31 is not going to go for long. But the truth is Left Armer is needed. Yuvi was getting good purchase last night. Specialist will get more. I have always felt that he has been under utilised. There are young Left Armers Ojha/Jadeja - but again, Vengsarkar went for experience.
