MAY 18, SABINA PARK, JAMAICA
CHAPPELL SAID
"There are some very talented players in that (West Indies) team. They have just forgotten how to win at the moment and that takes a bit of practice and they have not had as much practice as we have had."

MAY 20, SABINA PARK, JAMAICA
DRAVID SAID
"We lost the match because a few of our batsmen played lofted strokes at the wrong time. Still, I would not be too critical of the team."

MAY 23, BASETTERRE, ST KITTS
DRAVID SAID
"The one positive in this series has been that all three matches have been close and we have not played near our best."

MAY 26, QUEEN'S PARK, PORT OF SPAIN
DRAVID SAID
"A lot of our guys, and they are all young guys, haven't played here at all. Hopefully by the World Cup, we would have a found a solution to our problems."

LARA SAID
On Chappell's taunt
"It was a very sly remark. The guys took notice of his comments and turned the tables on India. It is nice to prove him wrong."

MAY 28, QUEEN'S PARK, PORT OF SPAIN
CHAPPELL SAID
"You can't win all the time. You can't go forward all the time. Sometimes, you have to take a couple of steps back."

SEPTEMBER 14, KINRARA OVAL, KL
CHAPPELL SAID
"We've probably got a few players who are not at their peak at the moment. And as I've said before, you won't have everybody in their best form at the same time. Cricket teams go through that, players go through that. If you look at any team, you see similar things. It's a bit of a concern but it's not something we're losing sleep over at this stage."

SEPTEMBER 20, KINRARA OVAL, KL
DRAVID SAID
"Irfan didn't play today, so we moved Virender Sehwag up from where he's supposed to be playing for us. Yuvi hadn't had a bat for a long time and he was feeling slightly unwell today, so we thought we'd give (Suresh) Raina a chance up at four, with Dhoni at six."

SEPTEMBER 22, KINRARA OVAL, KL
DRAVID SAID
"These are the kind of losses that hurt. There are some positives, but there are other areas of the game we need to get better at. Everyone in the team will have to look at himself and see if they played according to the demands of the situation. The bowling has been good in the last three matches and it's heartening," said Dravid. "Our bowling and fielding have been positive signs."

OCTOBER15, JAIPUR
DRAVID SAID
"There's a lot of quality in that batting lineup and it looks like we're struggling because two or three players in the line-up are not getting the kind of runs that they should. It's not as if we've been struggling for a hell of a long time. Just last season, the same guys were getting a lot of runs. So we are going through a little bit of a tough time but I don't see that as a problem."

OCTOBER 26, AHMEDABAD
DRAVID SAID
In the end it wasn't as close as it probably looked. I think we worked hard towards the end to make it close. But the guys worked hard. I think 224, probably in the final analysis, was about 25-30 runs less than what we should have got. I don't think we are playing as well as we can play. (Reuters Photo)

OCTOBER 29, MOHALI
DRAVID SAID
"I won't be too critical on this inexperienced side. They came up against a very good attack and it was a good experience for them. They've a lot of potential and we've seen that over the last few games. The Australian attack has experience and we need to give these young seamers time. Sreesanth came back well in the second spell. It's encouraging to see young bowlers with pace and fire."

NOVEMBER 22, KINGSMEAD, DURBAN
CHAPPELL SAID
"Whatever anyone says, the process is very important. It has been proven all over the world that systems are needed. A process is needed to set things up otherwise you'll have 'ad-hocery' and that will leave you nowhere."

NOVEMBER 26, CAPE TOWN
CHAPPELL SAID
"There's not much you can say at this stage. This is the squad we've got till the end of the series, and we've got to work hard. They (Indian politicians) are entitled to make any comment they like. That's what they are paid to do in Parliament."

NOVEMBER 29, PORT ELIZABETH
SEHWAG SAID
"When we get a good opening partnership, it will be a different game. We see who's in form, and who's batting well at the nets. No one has been making runs, so we've given him (Dinesh Kaarthick) a chance."

DECEMBER 3, CENTURION
CHAPPELL SAID
"The remedy has got to come from within the players. They have got to find a way to come to grips with the conditions.
No one else can do it for them. We can only say what the facts are: we haven't batted very well. It has happened before, and it will probably happen again. Teams go through these phases. When the confidence is down, it's hard to play with confidence. We are not playing with a great deal of it at the moment, and we need to find some."

- To solve it, you need to find the Problem first.

- This is not My Problem. Don't Blame me. And he is So true when he says "When the confidence is down, it's hard to play with confidence." :D

And I say

\"Muthiah Muralitharan will get 1000 Test Wickets & 750 wickets in ODI before retiring\".

He will be a Legend and most of all be remembered as a Match Winning Bowler and not one who bowled for statistics and he will be beat Shane Warne.

&

There will be no Bowler who will play for India in the next fifty years till 2056 who will even remotely come near this record.

Speech by Thomas Friedman of The New York Times....

"When we were young kids growing up in America, we were told to eat our
vegetables at dinner and not leave them. Mothers said, 'think of the
starving children in India and finish the dinner.' And now I tell my
children: 'Finish your maths homework. Think of the children in India
who would make you starve, if you don't.'"

Murli is one of the finest bowlers.... but presently he is neither highest wicket taker in ODI or Test matches ..... he still has a long way to go ..... wish him all the best for this long journey....

i doubt the chucker Murli will reach 1000 in test cricket. He is not getting young either. He is in his thirties and the batsman have started reading his bowling well such as the doosra.
