jack109,
Thx for posting the qns. Did they ask only those two qns? Anyways, it's interesting and again it all depends on the individual, how he/she takes the answers. Sometimes hiring staff have pre conceived notions abt the candidate. That's unfortunate, but it's prevalent.
Moderator,
Can we start a job interview qn bank on CD (unless there is one and I dont know)?

Mr Moderator,
The interview questions should also carry information on the position applied for and the company.
So basically the readers know what companies are looking for in any candidate.
Thanks,
Jack109
Sometimes companies will make a big show of "interviewing" a candidate just because they have been referred to them by a recruiter or friend who they dont want to offend. It is all a part of politics. They will go through one or more perfunctory questions and go through the motions. That way they can say that they gave the candidate a chance and found them unsuitable. The recruiter is happy, interviewer is happy but the candidate just got shafted!!! You have to learn to pick up the signals right at the beginning and ask them all the questions you can about the Canadian market, skills etc so that at least u get something from the interview and it is not just a waste of time.

Nice recollection Jack. My Accenture interview experience was quite good actually. I wasn't grilled much, and after the next round of interview, it seemed evident that it was favourable. The very next day I got this conditional offer.
Anyway, mine was for a J2EE developer position in Vancouver and so the nature of questions could have been different. Both the rounds of interviews were over phone since I was in New Jersey then.
Only thing is that this wait period before they confirm the offer (after satisfactory background checks) is killing me!!
I do agree with others that some times interviewers start with a preconceived notion - or they may have made a decision already. I had a similar experience with Agrium in Calgary which was also over phone where, within the first 5 minutes, I knew they were not interested in hiring me.
Anyway, let us hope and pray that things work out well for us!

Then he just got up and told me that he would cease the interview process at the
time and thanked me for coming and that he would inform the recruiter to send
me a letter thanking and regretting how I was unsuitable for the role.
I told him that I had displayed my comm skills, collaboratin skills, negotiation skills,
technical skills but he was not impressed.
He thanked me and asked me if I had brought my jacket and I replied in the negative and
he showed me the door.
