heh, It is logical to feel aggrieved after holding you up for 3 months & giving you hope. Potential shortlisted employees deserve a communication stating an approval or denial. It was unprofessional of the company or its HR to have not communicated.
My answer : I appreciate there is some one who understood.
Having said the above, your reaction is misplaced in Canada. Your reaction would hold true in India or similar countries where skilled employees still rule. This isn't the case here especially when you have not even entered the Canadian workplace.
My answer : I agree. But what is the status of working desi professionals in canada? Are they in fear of loosing jobs? I mean they rule their department atleast or having fear of loosing jobs?
Your response to morning_rain displays some sort of assumed elevated status that you seemed to have deemed yourself in. Remember your are the one seeking livelihood in this country's economic stage. If you think the folks working here are mired in poverty & don't wish to live a *poor* life, please go ahead & seek yourself an exit.
My answer : Elevated status comes over the years, not overnight. I see my fellow desi professionals here working for tim hortans and call centres like jobs. Is it not poverty? Where is their status gone? Why they forgot? A true professional would like to do a professional job. If he /she works for ordinary labour jobs, yes, he/she is poor by profession.
Your brashness and straight forwardness might not take you too far in Canada I am afraid.
My answer : I have options and there are companies in India and other places where i worked recognize my experience and professionalsim with out even interviewing me !!
Just curious, your highness arrived from Middle East or India?

Hi Chcool,
I support you for your email reply.
You must have received the funny email forward of an ex microsoft lowest employ who does not have an email, he does not conform to the norms ie email which is considered a step for success.
Dont worry if people judge your step as arrogance, people on this forum/canada can max get you information of openings unlike in india where they will make sure you get the position .
Dont worry much if it takes more time, everything happens for a reason.
My case long time back in india, for jet airways interview, i was rejected seven times, and the last three times i was the only odd one out, i was so humilated but few months down the line i got selected with Disney and was flying to USA. Instead of working in domestic airline here i was flying international paid by disney .
Above all god has a plan for everyone and is watching us from a distance, tc
I won't comment on the actual content of your letter, but even if it were appropriate you should properly capitalize proper nouns in the letter. You didn't even consistently capitalize "I" the word representing yourself. I'm sure you inadvertently confirmed to the company that they did right by not hiring you.
I see this attitude a lot with young applicants from all types of backgrounds at my workplace. It is as if they are complaining about poor customer service but in a job search job applicants are not consumers. The idea that you can take your business elsewhere is not really much of a threat to companies with plenty of applicants. Soft skills such as interpersonal skills are important as is grammar and capitalization.

People have their own charecter. I have been brought up in an environment that suits both parties. I mean employer and employee. It should not be one sided. If the company feels that they are right in not hiring me, i feel that i did not choose a wrong company to get employed.
I have worked in multinational environment in almost all countires where i worked.
I agree that in canada it is one sided, b'cos there is fault in the system here and even after so many years of independent canada, every immigrant is hearing "no jobs" in canada.
As for as jobs are concerned, big big negative.
Most people live in company "begging", some live with rights. I duno in which category you come in. You are the best judge !!
As i said individual charecter matters here.
If any company is one sided, i dont prefer to get employed there. That is it.
Looks like you did not get any other employment for 3 months hence you were waiting for them.

If i had recd an offer from another employer, i would have informed the first interviewer and told them that i am going with the new company, this is ethical.
As you told, i did not get employment for those three months, yes, it is a fault of the canadian system nothing else. May be you also would have spent years............ with out job after immigrating here. Your name suggests that !!! lol
