I was rejected in one of the Multi National company in Canada. I received a letter of rejection. But I called back the Human Resources Manager, asking her politely the reason of rejection - I convinced her of my Experience and dedication to work for that company. She called me back for a second interview and I was accepted. I did work overthere for 7 yrs but has to resigned as we have to relocate.

Cant help it. Thats the way things are in Canada. Skilled Immigrant Workers are not valued for their past experiences.

Nobody waits for anyone in today's world ....... If you had an offer , you would have informed the first interviewer ... fine .... Thats exactly what they have done after they have decided that they cannot take you on .........

They did not make an offer and go back on it ... That would have been unethical ..............

You may have written a nasty email but have gained nothing .... Instead lost a prospective opportunity of there was one coming.

I once was interviewed and tested by a Company and they told me that things looked good and they would get back in touch with me ....... I waited , in the mean time I got another job ..... They came back to me after 4 months and asked me about my availability and expectation ....

When I upped my expectation by 25% they were surprised and remarked ' But at that time you had asked for so much ' ......... And I replied back - ' But with in that time and the present certain things have come up and that s why the change in expectations ...... ' ... They got their response ...

Bottom line --- nobody waits and they do not need to !!

There is no difference between you and the employer who wanted to offer you. lol.

Did you achieve anything by telling them you want 25 % more? Nothing. You lost a prospective employer too if you have done in that way.

In my case, they kept waiting me for 3 months so i have evry reason for telling them that they are unethical.

But in your case You should have informed the company already that you got hired by another one even b4 they call you and offer. You too were unethical? Canadian employers taught you like this or what? LOL

We should not keep begging them for a job. Do not loose your self respect at any cost.

Dude - the unwritten rule is -- nobody waits for anyone ....... People move on , life moves on .....

If some one doesn't give you a job , don't go after them -- they have a choice ....

In my case , no I did not lose a potential opportunity ..... if they need me and ready to pay the new price , per convenience we will work together .. Emotions and business generally do not go together .

There seems to be impairment of thinking process. .... I interpret NY s example as that of persistence which would reflect in his work and character ... I guess the Manager who hired him did the same ....
