How Desi - Desi (New immigrant) communicate at first introduction??
They start with English..
Hi... How are you?
2nd,,,,Are you from India?
3rd,,, In Hindi,,, From where,,,
4th ... is it happen to be from same area...let's say from Gujarat...
5th...all conversation start in Gujarati,,, From which city...which area..
when did you come to canada...which school you been to,, are you married,,,how many kids,,, where you leaving,,,where you work,,,you have a field job,,,,what's the salary ::::::::::::::::::::;and so on,, they will get whole history about you and your family.
Basically the guy would know everything about you... somethime more than what you know..(Just kidding)
Finally they exchange the phone no..
I told the same thing to my buddies at work..(born Canadian) he was just surprise!!!!

.....followed by a 4 hour discussion on the job and stock market, phone number and probably an invitation to visit sometime. Highly unlikely they'll ever meet again though.
