Putts man! concentrate on what I am saying (rather than making up your own sentences), I understand its not easy to understand sometimes but lets focus again on what I said..read hard... I said NOT YET !! ...Out of 41 Bharat Ratna awardees till date none is a sports person, they need to do more than playing to get awarded.
Manny Singh saab, I'll be first one to clap from Canada if Tendlya gets it !! I am his fan after all but not a mad one.
Baki mujhey kuchch nahi chahiye , thanks for considering though..
Sachin should get Bharat Ratna after he retires from playing intl cricket. He's too young. People like Pt. Bhimsen Joshi got it when he was in his 80s. Let Sachin retire, say at 40 he should get. He deserves as he has done lot for the country thru cricket.
I think before Sachin, maybe Amir Khan or Sharukh khan should get it. After all we are talking about who is the best entertainer .. right?
Also I think Maradona should receive the nobel peace prize.
There is no doubt he is India's most famous and most successful sports person ever.
More than Dhyan Chand, Milkha Singh, P.T. Usha, Leander Paes, Kapil Dev and so on.
But if you look down that list of Bharat Ratan achievers, this seems a little pre-mature.
My personal opinion is that after retiring from active cricket, Tendulkar should consider "giving back" to the game by running training academy, coaching institute, etc. at the grass roots level - that is, not just a high end fancy training center where only rich kids can pay and come.
At some point in the future, he should consider becoming the coach of the national team - assuming there is still a one and cricket has not dissolved into IPL style clubs.
And then he can be considered for the Bharat Ratan.
Unless he "gives back" to the game in some form, I don't see the justification for the Bharat Ratan.
