Hello,
We are in market to buy our first LCD TV now.
anyone have a first hand experience for LG 47" LCD TV or 46" Sony Bravia LCD TV...?
what should we have to keep in mind before go ahead with one of the TV?
I have a corner TH unit so in day time lots of sun light is coming in house. does it makes any difference...??
your input would be highly appriciated.

LCD tvs are not affected so much by day light as plasmas.
Look for a TV feature where the brightness changes as ambient light changes..
My Bravia has this feature..
These days difference between tvs is marginal.
Sony has a better brand recognition among tvs than LG.. but i say go for the cheaper or bigger one if all things are equal..
If your budget permits than go for 8 series Samsung LED TV . It adjust the brightness and colors according to the light present in room .

thanks all of your for reply,
does anyone have a problem or idea about LCD screen burnning problem.
I heard from some of friends that If you run LCD TV more than 8 to 10 hrs than your screen will burn, but if you are going buy Plasma TV than is no problem.
I am not sure this is right or wrong.
I don't mind to spend around $1000 to 1200 for TV, if any good TV suggestion pls share your idea as well.
your input will help me a lot.
Thanks
Burning is a problem with Plasma and not with LCD. With LCD you might hv problem called dead pixels wich is rare but can happen.
Plasma TV these days has technology to prevent burn in which are caused by static images such as network logos. Plasma may be unsuitable if you have too much sunlight because surface is glass, which will tend to reflect light.
