Hi All;

I have downloaded some videos onto my USB which are working fine with any laptop having the supporting software. My TV has socket for USB. How can I play the same videos on my TV; Will loading the supporting software on USB help?

Any other way?

Thanx.

It depends on the TV and what format of video it supports. If you have model number of the TV, you can find the specifications on manufacturer's website. Some TVs support playing movies while others can play only mp3 or photos.

Would you pls tell me in detail about the above said.

As i mentioned , I am not a techie person.

Thanks

Trying to be as simple as possible as it is difficult to describe what I am saying without a diagram.

You mentioned that you need to attach your satellite receiver and X-box to TV. If you attach them directly to TV, you need 3 HDMI inputs on your TV - one for your DVD player, one for satellite receiver, one for X-Box. If you have less than 3 HDMI inputs, you need to either connect the equipment that is in use, use an inferior connection (component or composite) or use a switch.

Also, if you connect your satellite receiver/X-box to TV directly, you will have to use your TV speakers for sound (which is 2.0) and not your surround sound system (5.1).

So to properly utilise your sound system, you need to make sure that your home theatre system can accommodate extra HDMI inputs.

Also, try to see if you have a friend/relative who can help you set up your system.

RBO, have you tried referring to your new TV's and Home Theatre's user manual? Normally, they illustrate all kinds of connection info., w.r.t. the HDMI, Composite, and Component.

Try and refer to the manual and see if it guides you with step by step instructions.
