I saw an add about this restaurant Grand opening in Scarborough tomorrow. They have a good web site but the prices are sky high. Saravana bhavan owners I guess. Let some body check this out tomorrow and post their feed back for every body's benefit.

Hi

We tried this restraunt in Scarborough-and its awesome, got to eat good chettinad stuff after years, its called anjappar and its a chain in south, good stuff, some recommendations would be biriyani(authentic) and fish curry and thali-have fun

Madras Dosa Hut "BAD" BAD" BAD"
I just had a really Bad experince in Madras Dosa Hut. Me and wife went for dinner first time we ordered Vada Sambhar/ Masala Dosa /Uttapam.

Vada in sambhar was cold, just out of freezer/Masala Dosa was burned and Uttapam was smelling egg, we just made aware server that it smell egg...they responded carelessly we cook seperate...we just tried a bite or two...but It was horrible..couldn't take it...It was the worst food we ever had..

Not to cause any trouble for server we paid first as a customer.. and than asked for manager...server connected to owner Logeswary Kubendran...the manner he talk is, Instead of being sorry or kind..he said well you can get another dosa....we told no.. we can't take it our mood is all spoiled. He never offered for refund or said sorry...

I would like to compaint in better business bureau...any one can direct me how to go about it

I had just now returned to my office after eating the Breakfast Buffet at Anjappar Chettinad at their Brampton location (I Saw Lana2005 in the restaurant but since She/He was in a Business Breakfast Buffet meeting, I did not want to disturn His/Her privacy).
The Breakfast Buffet was 100 times better than Saravana Bhavan's Breakfast Buffet (Though the quantity was much less). The best was Paper Dosa / Masala, Ven Pongal , Onion Utappam and Kesari. They also had spagetti, Vada, Idly. Coffee was free and it was a Nice filter coffee from India.
The price was about $7.49 + taxes.
Luckily there was no much crowd at around 10:30 am but it started getting crowded at around 11:15 am.
The servers were nice people but looks like many donot have any serving experience.
I would rate the experience as very good.
I invite others (CD's) to share their experience.
They also have a Weekend Lunch buffet (11:30 am to 3:30pm) for $12.99 + taxes. I canot review it here since i have not had it as of yet.

Sidenote : One innovative method used in Anjappar Chettinad due to the heat of summer was that their Urinals were filed with Ice cubes. Hence when i used the urinals, My whole body was cool and it was like free air conditioning of my body.
