Seems like student visa section in this forum is very quiet...What happened guys and gals?

And questions, any doubts, any concerns, and suggestions, just post it here and have buzz to everyone who is on student visa or who is trying to come here.

Indiaguy, you have any comments / suggestion to make for all our readers/members ? Did you arrive in Canada on a student visa ? If yeah then why not post your experience here

Hi ON,

Yeah i arrive in Canada on the student visa. I can suggest to those according to their questions/concerns.

In general i just want to tell everyone, don't give up....keep studing and you will realize that you are heading where you want to go.

Only thing is don't go after money, while putting your study beside. I understand it is expensive here, but on the other side of the coin you came here to study, so try to achieve that goal, with good grades, otherwise not if it was not your intestions, i guess.

Well then Indianguy let me ask you some stuff (for all of us)

How did you begin your application process,
When di you get your admission letter
Grad or Undergrad ?
How did you show proof of funding ?
Where did you go, in order to apply for your VISA ,
How much time did it take...
If you furnish these details, then I suppose it would liven up this thread

I will furnish mine, but I am saving them for my big article !

Hello Everyone,

As Ottawa Nerd asked me to provide my information, find it herewith:

****************************APPLYING TO COLLEGES****************************

After winter, I wrote my IELTS and send application to the selected community colleges for post-graduate programs, related to my field and choice.

Later having a lot of patience, I heard back from college, where I want to step in, asking me for more documents like update resume, why I want to apply for specific college and course and my IELTS results, coz I was waiting for it, etc. etc. I send it to them and after all that, I cleared 1st stage and was selected to go for another, which was interview from India on phone and that was my final stage. College gave me 3 dates and timings for interview and I had to replied back with the best 2 dates and timing, convenient for me, which I did.

Latter I prepared for my interview and gave it on phone. At the end of interview, I was being told that I am selected for the course and soon they will send me the admission letter, which I got it and paid half of the fees. This almost takes me from 2 - 3 months

****************************APPLYING FOR VISA****************************

I already paid my half fees from India, so it was my part of funding as well. Added to that I took bank loan for the rest and show little bank balance, as I didn’t worried about lot, as having bank loan with me. With all my educational and financial documents prepared, I went to Delhi for my visa and got it, got it…my medicals, which I completed there. Latter I was being called to Delhi once again with my passport and again got it…got it…my student visa. -) This almost takes 1 month, coz during that time it was rush period, otherwise in general it don’t happen.

Hope this information helps to the one who is looking for.

I have applied for sutdent visa willing to enter canada ...
I have follwed fe threds in these web site ...Guys are scaring me would that be a wise decision to land in canada .
