Sisodia catches a govt employee watching movie while at work

Delhi's Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia did a surprise inspection on a government hospital and found an employee watching movie while at work. The video of the surprise inspection is on AAP's Facebook page, link given below.

Press is claiming the employee was fired on the spot. There is no wording like that on AAP's Facebook page where the video is posted.

Can government employees in India be fired that easily? Of course AAP is not claiming it and press would claim anything.

NEW DELHI: The sad state of government-run hospitals in our country is not hidden from us. The apathy and indifferent attitude of medical staff in these facilities has been in news time and again, and doesn't come as a shock to us anymore.
When Delhi's deputy chief minister Manish Sisodia made a surprise visit to a government hospital in Delhi on Wednesday, he witnessed a similar situation of indifference and apathy of the medical staff in the hospital. An employee at the facility was busy watching a movie, while a long queue of patients patiently waited for their turn.
Sisodia quietly walked into his room, and tapped him on his shoulder. Meanwhile, the man was completely engrossed in the movie, completely oblivious of the patients waiting outside and of Sisodia's presence. A fuming Sisodia, sacked the employee right at the spot. The incident which was recorded and shared on Aam Admi Party's Facebook page yesterday has gone viral and for the right reasons.

Knowing Kejriwal, this might be just his idea of symbolic dig at the PM. Such a shame, we call these people our leaders who did not have the courtesy to pay attention at such an important event of our country. I can't believe I once believed in this man but he is anything but genuine.

Modi's speech might have been boring !!

Kudos to AAP for setting yet another example of accountability by firing the employee watching movie on the spot in a surprise inspection.

I am sure where there is a will , there s a way --- a few more such examples and Govt servants would lose their laxity.

Special mention for NaMo also in this regard --- Heard Delhi Racecourse / Golf Club which used to be abuzz with IAS and other Govt officials till yesteryear bears a deserted look during work hours when Govt officials are working at office in stead of whiling their time at the club.

Sleeping should be pardoned in Indian politics. You eat India food and listen to afternoon speeches, you will naturally press the snooze button. So Modi , Rahul, AK should be spared for the occasional mishaps as these individuals work long hours. I am pretty sure most of us did this in shool...I did ...many times.

However, trying to complete watching a movie, while working in a hospital and making patients wait, such acts deserve severe "treatment" ...as that mentality is a disease.
