Cool , good to know the background of CD 
. I guess egos took over and petty kitchen politics ( Saas bahu type of serials ) came in, most Desis are into that type of things and things went of a tangent and things got derailed along the way 
Wow ! 70 people meeting in person, that too 15 yrs back, when internet, social media, forums, blogs etc where NOT really a huge thing as today, is a big step
That too people coming from Montreal, Vancouver etc, shows commitment that too in - 30 C temps.

Sometime during the next 1-2 years, we also had three sessions of classroom teaching for basics of foreign exchange trading, conducted by me which was attending by about 15 persons each time. The place and projector was organised by Mr Gill. However, a few years later, something broke somewhere and things started fizzling out. The site turned from helping each other to silly advises, to personal fights etc. and that is when many of us started staying away from it. Two major losses were Jake3D and Biomed - both extremely intelligent and fun loving and helpful persons. And ofcourse Sanjiv and Mr Gill. I myself have come back after a long time.

Cool, this weekend I will write some of the scams, which take immigrants for a ride. Need time for that
I started to browse CD since 2004 . Chandresh is the first person comes to my mind . Once I met him Lob laws/Dominion super market -Danforth ave I think.( may be I am wrong ). Great forum to help new immigrants with lots of info. I appreciate moderators and members for their time and efforts . All the best.

As far as I am concerned, I donot think that the above were major losses for CD.
The major loss was :
1. Masoodji (on immigration matters)
2. BL (Moderation, crisp thinking).
Though BL still comes in once in a while, still the original BL is gone.
Kalia (realtor) is gone now. Wonder why when the most real estate deals are being done only now.
Currently, I can compare only AT as the best contributor to CD. I have been out of Canada for more than 4 years and at the best am a toothless snake.
