Lot of members in the forum suggests new immigrants to have a positive attitude in Canada and it is treated as a BIG PLUS to settle down nicely in Canada. Now here I have few questions for them who always suggest having positive attitude in Canada.

* Can someone define the positive attitude?
* Are you trying to say that only in Canada you need positive attitude to become a successful person whereas outside of Canada you may become a successful by having a negative attitude?
*If so, than why only in Canada we need positive attitude and not in other parts of the world? As I did not hear anywhere else so much about POSITIVE ATTITUDE?
*And if we cannot become a successful person anywhere in the world by having negative attitude than why you emphasize so much on having positive attitude in Canada not in other parts of the world?

Looking forward to hear something about POSITIVE ATTITUDE!!!

Would also like to hear YOUR VIEWS on what type of attitude OR how a negative attitude will help one better (in Canada or elsewhere). We have not really heard any of your views on anything(except for one liners appended to newspaper articles). Maybe you did articulate your views at the meeting but many of us missed it. So maybe this is a chance for us to know your views on the correct type of attitude to have. Especially since you are in disagreement with those you say a +ve attitude is important. Maybe we need to see clearly why it is a bad thing so please oblige.

I dont think Bio is asking people not be positive.
But I too am a member of the club that does not think that one needs to be "positive" in Canada only to be successful........one needs it all the time but being positive is not the ONLY thing.
I know of at least 3 individuals who came to canada, found decent, non labor, jobs almost within a month and were not very hopeful at all. One did not even attempt to make a serious search for a job and still was offered a very good post through a person he happened to meet by chance.
A positive attitude helps but is not the be all end all of eveything.

BL I think I could not explain it well…

You might have noticed that people emphasize too much on having positive attitude in Canada. I know you have to have positive attitude to become a successful person, let it be anywhere in the world or at any point of your life (I mentioned this in one of my post too). We all know this “SACH” than why people so much emphasize on having positive attitude to be a successful person in Canada….is there something very special of having positive attitude in Canada? Are they trying to tell that you don’t need positive attitude anywhere else in the world?
