Hi CD.....Thanks....for everything.........we landed safely.....it is really nice here....

at this moment... only one thing is there.. that what kind of Phone connection i can have as land line.. which can serve as internet ... + Cable....

please let me know the options.....

You have not specified your location. I would suggest please visit a settlement agency in your neighbourhood. Settlement workers can guide you and provide you with bundle of information regarding issues like housing, employment, education for children, banking etc.

These services are available for free.

landed safely ------ thanks to the pilot of the plane. It is really nice here----- thanks to canada and its Govt. sorry joking.

jokes apart, welcome to canada.

I believe you just wanted to know about phones. I was told, Rogers offers good family plan i.e home landline + high speed internet + mobile. Their after sales services are best. They have landline 25$-30$ unlimited calls to canada. please check. Rogers,bell and Fido are the competitors. You can even go through previous thread of phones and cell phones which is really helpful.

Hi Thanks for suggestion freinds....

I have Koodooo.... at this moment for initial setup......as back home folks wants to talk........i think this is good for some time.

Now If i go for ROgers..... how long they will take........

Rest is best..i am just settling down..........so ..will write..... everything once.... it is little smooth ( i mean internet ) LOL...

Can you suggest... .here on this forum......... which package is good to go.. as Gopal Pai suggest.. Rogers.......

We are located on the intersection of Dixie and Burnhamthorpe Rd. East in Mississauga. If taking the Mississauga transit, you will take Route # 10, going to Square One Mall and then transfer to 26 E going to sub-way. You will get down at Dixie Rd. stop to reach our office.However, you are driving or getting a ride, you can come East to Hurontario Street, South on Hurontario and East on Burnhamthorpe to reach our office at Dixie Rd.-Burnhamthorpe Rd. intersection.

We would be more than happy to support you and your family in these initial days in Canada and share whatever info you might need to start a new life in your new home
