Why only approached SHJ , why not Dubai or Abudhabi, as far as PCC is concerned its of UAE you need and not of SHJ exclusively. Also if they also respond same way, then probably you need to explain the whole matter to CHC and present the case, read my previous post. Also try to contact one of the consultancy i refered in my previous post. I do not know or have taken any service from them either, but there is no harm in enquiring with them too.

Well, friends, it seems as if my journey has ended prematurely. CHC has denied visa on grounds of non-submission of PCC from UAE. I had written to them that as my stay in the UAE was quite old, the UAE authorities could not find my records in their system and hence they were reluctant to issue any PCC to me. So now what can I do ? Any suggestions ? Can I approach them again and try to explain ? Can I take any legal approach ? Can I try again by re-applying under new rules ? After this long wait of more than 6 years, I can see nothing but darkness in front of me.

In case of Police clearance from sharjah, you have to go to police station and personally do it, it takes an hour to get it done and you have to get it typed from typist there (form) and it will cost dhs 50 to dhs 100. In case of police clearance outside UAE anywhere can be done by Indian association, sharjah. They charge you normal fees whatever applicable + dhs 20/- their fees and you will get the same in 40 - 60 days.We got it done from them.

PLease call on phone to them (It is there in telephone directory or call 181 and ask for the tel. no.) or even better visit them personally on immigration road, taxi charges will be dhs 10-15 but it's worth visiting them, they are very helpful.

as i read in another forum that your visa has been rejected due to the non issue of PCCfrom UAE,i felt really very sorry yaar. is this an excuse to reduce immigrations??if you dont mind could you tell your age. i wonder if the age factor has played havoc??
please do reply regarding this. a friend of mine hasgot his PCC from kuwait in 2 months when he least expexted as kuwait had 2 wars.

Any other desi's can put more light on this if they know or experienced similar situation and then how they managed to get PCC.
