Happy holi to everybody!

If you are in Canada, I am just curious to know, how many of you got a chance to see "Holika Dahan" and play "Dhuleti"?

Mostly if you are attached with any temple or religious circle you will get this chance.

For example many temples in Toronto have Holika Dahan Program. I attended one at Sanatan Mandir couple of years back.

Last year we did Holika Dahan and played with colors (on snow!) at the program organized by Swdhyay Pariwar.

This time I might not be going anywhere.

Why are you doing guys?

i don't know about all of you in Canada but we in India are enjoying Holi and the traffic jams too due to Holika Dahan. But i won't miss this opportunity to wish yooo alllll A VERY HAPPY AND A GULALFUL HOLI!!!

Happy Holi everyone,
I was just showing my kids pics of Holi on the toi website. My wife and I used to live in the same complex(known each other since we were 5yrs) and were telling the kids how the boys gang and the girls gang used to have running holi battles with each other. Really miss those days . The gang leaders have now made peace...and more

Happy Holi to everyone, guys!!

I miss dhuleti! And "fugga aggiyaras" (the one where you fill up balloons and throw them at people). I don't even remember when fugga aggiyaras is.

DesiTiger, It could be celebrated within groups of people, its usually celebrated in some temples as well. But of course, those of use who've walked around the streets of our "nukkad" in India with a "pichkari" in hand will have a hard time buying it. Better than nothing though.
