- I like good movies. It just so happens that I predominantly liked English movies in 2006.
We watch hindi movies too. We loved Omkara and Being Cyrus (one of the more interesting movies). But that's pretty much it...rest were just time-pass.
Last week I watched "The Last Kiss" and really liked it ...storyline is basically on relationship/temptation within 29-30 age group guys.

I was impressed with Zach Braff's acting style and now planning to watch his earlier movie "Garden State"

The Last Kiss. Its Paul Haggis's screenplay...interesting enough for me to give it a watch. Thanks for the suggestion.
The latest English movies I watched and I liked were
The Departed, Deja Vu, Blood Diamond and The pursuit of happiness.
I feel bad for Leonardo as he dies in every other movie I have liked him in(Titanic included).
But Deja Vu quite confused me. Anyone would like to explain me how Denzel Washington came back at the end?
Shriya.

you may be someone to the world but for someone you are the world.
I discovered indian movies after a huge gap of about 15yrs. In the mid 80's to mid 90's - indian movies were all much the same. Most of the stories were the same except they used a horse in one movie and a monkey in the next.
Now I can say that indian movies are getting to a point where they have some stories and themes. The movies I liked last year were:
Water
Woh Lahme
Lage Raho
Rang De Basanti
Taxi 9211
Corporate
Khamosh Pani
Cyrus
Umar
Salaam Namaste
Banaras
15 Park Avenue
Omkara
Dor
36 China Towm
I guess I have now gotten to the point where I want to watch movies for the escape from reality. I do not want anymore drama in my life than I already have!
