I'm starting this thread based on my friends recent experience in India. He has been a long follower of this type of astrology. He has found amazing information by consulting an astrologer from this background. The basics of this method is that a Saint/Muni called Agastiar supposedly has written the life history/horoscope and all details of all the human beings on this earth born, to be born and to be reborn.
He has written all this information on a parchment in the way of tamil songs. These parchment are stored in the Tanjore Palace Library. When you contact an astrologer he takes a finger print of yours and along with your name finds the parchment on you and reads the poem on you and also the information about on a casette tape and gives it you. This is supposedly contains the information about you, your family, your education and all information regarding this life and also about past and future life.
Has anybody on CD tried this method. This is practised in South India in places like Tanjore, Kumbakonam, Sirkazhi and related places.

Though personally i am not supposed to belive it, I have heard that this type of astrology is amazing with 100% true results.
I look forward to other south indian CD's sharing their experience.

I am a Gents and not a Ladies.
You can find such astrologer in other cities also. I don't expect everyone to beleive what ever I am saying but I have an incident to share.
Recently one of the group od such astrologers was in Panchkula and we came across an astrologer who was learning astrology since the age of 8 and was also a doctor (MD). This doctor visisted them, gave his thumb impression and was given a casette and no mention was made regarding his marriage. One month later he got married. BEing astrologer he was curious how they come to know everything about you so he again went to give his thumb impression and also took along one tamil friend. This time they told about his marriage. Now the question is that thumb impression cannot change. Then how come the two casettes of the same person were different. Secondly, his tamil friend told him that whatever they are saying and what ever they are writing in tamil has got differences.
Later they found out that these guys have done "karan (ear) peeshachani Sidhhi". In thsi sidhhi a spirit is controlled and she is sent with you to your home once you give your thumb impression. She will collect all the information and tell his master in his ear. And whatever she tells, these astrologers tell you. So the current information like even your family members name is correct. But the future predictions are doubtful.
After hearing this episode we asked many of our friends who gave their thumb impressions, if their future (not the current) predictions have come true and many of them said no. We infact tried our thumb impression and nothing of the sort has happened in the last 2 years.
It's your wish if you want to beleive these astrologers or the incident I have mentioned above or the karan peeshachani siddhi thing ....... but our personal experience says better save that Rs 1000/- you are going to pay them for prediction.

I have a cassette with me and the predictions have not cum true till date. Dont know about the future. However the method they used was slightly different. They used our birthdate and brought back an 'index' for that date and asked some questions regarding our background - we just had to asnwer yes or no and if they have more than 3 correct matches from the particular page in the index, they mark that page and call us after 1 week for detailed reading and recording. Now the recording is done in Tamil and Hindi at the same time, in our presence.
We had a totally opposite experience for our neighbour. This young guy was having an affair with his school sweetheart for over 12 years and both the kids were adamant while the families were opposed. The situation was kind of a deadlock for a longtime. Now for this person they predicted that they will get married before the year end and the sure they did marry that year...all things just fell in place.
Just sharing my experience...no opinions built yet.

I'm hearing both sides of the story on this. Some of them swear by their predictions, while my own brother calls it bakwas.
I wanted to do it for myself, but want to be cautious before spending about Rs.5000 + on this in Chennai.
