Assalamwalakum,

I am planning to migrate to canada after attending a local seminar regarding the same. i am equally worried about the processing time in CHC Delhi office.

Some of the agents are promising that my application will be processed within say 18 months, while going through the CHC website it give totally different picture like 58 months and above.

One of my friend who have received his file no. in July-04 is still waiting for any communications from CHC.

Your kind inputs will be highly appreicated

That is the dictum.
4 to 5 years is the current expectation.
You would need a lot of patience.


Just file and behave as if nothing has happened, because that is true.

any person who qualifies in the independent category can fill the forms

so if you qualify for immigration but still want to waste the money on a agent , it si your wish


timelines are not in the hands of agent so they will be the same whether you apply on your own or through an agent

the web sites available.. u do reasearch and learn more from web sites..

go thru Manual on the web.. and lots of discussion forms to help out.. lots better and supportive ..tooo.

I personnaly am all for agents. but most of the ones in India are good only till they get your money. Canadian immigration is very consumer friendly and all info is very easily available on their web pg. on this one too, a lot of ppl help out and you can get real life experience info.

A pc of advise regrding immigration: apply for it and forget about it. go on about your life as you normally would have and when it happns it will. you will get atleast a few months to plan when u get the visa
