Mumbai Police on Friday named a third suspect in Tuesday’s serial blasts that ripped across Mumbai trains, as investigators cast a wide net in their hunt for the assailants -scrutinizing a cross-border Islamic militant network along with smaller homegrown groups.
According to Mumbai Police Commissioner, A.N. Roy, a man known only as Rahil was the third person being sought in connection with the eight blasts in Mumbai's commuter train network that killed 200 people during the evening rush hour on Tuesday.
On Thursday, the Anti-Terror Squad had released photos of two other suspects, Sayyad Zabiuddin and Zulfeqar Fayyaz. Their nationalities were not given, nor was it clear where the photos of the two young, bearded men originated.
Pakistan-based Islamic militant group Lashkar-e-Tayyaba, which operates in Kashmir, has been the prime suspect.
Forensic examinations have confirmed that the explosive used in Tuesday's serial blasts in the city's suburban trains was not the deadly RDX. It could have been dynamite or ammonium nitrate.
Laboratory tests performed on nearly a dozen samples collected from seven blast sites have confirmed that the explosive used was not RDX, a top Mumbai police official said. He, however, refused to reveal the nature of the explosive. Intelligence sources, however, said that it could be plain dynamite, which was commonly used for blasting rocks and in mines.
According to officials, the use of such common explosives would indicate smaller, local groups carried out the blasts -- not more sophisticated and better equipped networks, such as Lashkar.
On Wednesday, the government had demanded that Pakistan dismantle all terrorist networks on its part of Kashmir.
Roy, further said that the two suspects named Thursday had been on the run since mid-May, when authorities arrested three suspected Muslim insurgents and seized large quantities of arms, ammunition and plastic explosives after a long highway chase in Maharashtra.
The seizure included 30 kilograms (66 pounds) of RDX explosives, 10 AK-47 assault rifles and 2,000 rounds of ammunition.

The one thing I hate about India is the role of the media. Anytime there is a terror attack the media starts doing their own investigations and even keeps breaking news on the progress of the investigations. All that a suspect has to do is watch any of the 24X7 news channels to know if the cops are closing in on him!
This time though even the cops have no clue what they are doing. Someimes they say there was no RDX used and so it can't be LeT. Hmmm, couldn't they change their way of doing things? All that the cops have done is raided a few minority localities and detained a few hundred innocent people. And I'd like to know how come the cops know the names, nationalities, age, looks, who the suspects called and when just a few hours AFTER the blasts? On one hand we have the cops saying no RDX hence no LeT and at the same time our clueless PM is making statements that the attack has Pakistan finger prints all over! I don't blame Pakistan for making statements like share evidence if you have any!

Pakistans ISI has now spread into every nook and corner in the country and has indian supporters / recruits doing these acts based on comands from ISI. So the evidence points to these Indians working for ISI so that Pakistan can always say it did not have any hand in the blasts
