I dont understand how "nudity" is considered part of the canadian or 'gora' lifestyle. Nudity means "without clothes". I have lived here my entire life and have yet to see 'nudity' in the general public . I know that there are some beaches dedicated to nude bathing but thats it.
Secondly - by mixing with 'goras' one does not become Canadian. One of the problems of Canadian identity has always been that it is a relatively young country with a history of settlement by Europeans and Asians etc. (im not counting the aboriginal groups here). Who lays claim to real 'canadian culture' ?
I agree that one should assimilate with the general community and not remain isolated if possible. Assimilation assumes a working knowledge of English or French, and if one doesnt speak either official language with confidence, they may feel isolated, tending to gather with those they can communicate with.
I was just going to say the same thing about the nudity issue people seem to have with Canada....where is it people??? The last time I was confronted with nudity it was on a beach in Mexico and not in the middle of Yonge Street in Toronto!

You have to realise that when some want people to wear a dupatta over their salwaar tops...women sunbathing in bikinis tops can be considered 'Nudity'. Nudists(which is what you and MR are talking about) are just evil spawn to the same people.

What i think loser meant was the skimpy summer dress code of females in Canada (Meghal has mentioned about this in his first post of this thread) which was brought up in the forum a couple of weeks back and which no one really accepted (in this forum).
But his message/ concept is very clear, which is : If you donot like the activities of Canadians, canot assimilate into the society, please go back to the country that you are from.
I personally will not accept this. My idea is to work here, keep close contact with tamilians, send money to india (if possible), spend time with family, watch TV indoors/Internet, Try to go to India once every year and leave the country around retirement time. This is my choice. I canot / donot like to mix with people whose first language is English. This is just my personal choice. I may interact with white people in my office and during work but for social life i prefer to be with Tamilians and some indians. (and please note before you think of something funny : I am not a Muslim) Being granted Immigration does not mean that i have to assimilate into the Canadian society. I immigrated only for doing work and due to the exchange rate of this currency when compared to the Indian rupee.

Also, this reference is for Dutch society which is extremely liberal, compared to Canadian society, which is conservative. So let us not compare two different societies.
For eg, it is legal to sale or smoke pot in public in Holland.

Having talked to people with Fundamentalist views i realised that anything worn in summer by Canadian women is way beyond "decency" for them.
But then i laugh at them because they decided to immigrate to Canada and were not brought to this continent as slaves unlike africans.
