Information Wanted
Dear Friends,
I wish to know that for how many time(months or years), landed immigrant can be out from Canada to maintain his Residency Status in Canada. Also Please tell me from which site I can get this information.

one has to be physically present in canada for 3 years out of a period of 5 years. Thats what i know.

Dear Desi,

U R wrong. It is 2 years out of every 5 year that a person has to stay in Canada for keeping his PR status valid.

One suggestion for all - Whenever somebody is posting any official inforamtion. If you do not know the website address, please mention the agency, authority, department or Govt name so that one may look and search for the same from Pages from Canada and verify the information before taking action
