ICICI Canada is relatively very small in size and number of branches. So there is no advantage in having an account with icici bank as Canadian resident.
However their high interest paying and easy and fast money transfer facilities are considerably good .
So
1. Keep major portion of your money in ICICI for earning interest.
2. Have another local bank( say TD / CIBC/ any other local bank account into which one can transfer thru net banking and avail local bank ATM
3. Use the ICICI account for transferring money to/from India.

If you are an ICICI Canada employee you will never like to work for any other bank in Canada that is the impression I got when I visited these banks.

I agree with the opinion voiced by fellow desis about the service.

Like seeing a glass half full or half empty . It is your choice. Do not expect service like TD bank.....or so.

Useful if you frequently transfer money to India , that too if you have an account in ICICI India and ICICI Canada.

Otherwise there is a hefty charge for transfers.

I still believe SBI Canada is the best in Indian banks except that they are not open on saturdays or late in the evenings.

SBI canada scarborough branch is open on saturdays and work till 7 on week days.

a lot better service than ICICI bank canada !!!

This is really alarming news. I use ICICI and CITIBANK net banking facility all the time for funds transfer. Now, I need to rethink.
